More behind the name.
Tom grew up in Poole, a small town on the south coast of England. From a young age he was surrounded by art. With a grandfather who was a passionate and talented painter, he would often share his passion with Tom by painting tattoos onto his skin. From a young age, Tom began drawing tattoos on himself and knew art was an avenue he wanted to pursue.
At the age of 19, Tom began his tattooing career as an apprentice for Pepa Heller, the owner of Bohemian Tattoo Arts. Working in a street shop, Tom was exposed to a wide range of tattoo styles but quickly specialised in Black and Grey Realism. His specialty of black and grey realism stems from years of drawing portraits with charcoal and graphite. Early on in his career, Tom had the pleasure of working with numerous other tattoo artists with the highest caliber of work from around the world. He has been able to pool knowledge and apply skill to his own work from this experience to provide higher quality tattoos. At the age of 26, Tom opened his private studio so he could work one-on-one with people seeking his personalised art. Tom enjoys being able to provide a more relaxing environment for his clients.
